Martin Romualdez Secures Third Consecutive Term
Martin Romualdez has secured his third consecutive term as the Leyte Representative in the upcoming 2025 elections. This victory was officially confirmed by the Provincial Board of Canvassers of Leyte, chaired by lawyer Ma. Goretti Caseñas-Cañas, who proclaimed him as the winner for the Leyte First District Representative seat on May 13.
Romualdez, who is a cousin of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ran unopposed in the province, marking his sixth overall term representing Leyte. His continued leadership brings stability and experience to the district.

Expressing gratitude, Romualdez said, “I am very grateful for my constitution, especially to Tacloban, for the new chance to serve.” He emphasized that this win benefits the entire district and pledged to work harder for his constituents.
He also assured his supporters, “Tinitiyak ko po: hindi masasayang ang tiwala ninyo.” (I assure you, your trust in me won’t go to waste.)
