Lone Gunman Shoots Sales Agent in Calapan City
CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro – A lone gunman shot and killed a 37-year-old sales agent and collector of a merchandising company early Tuesday morning, June 10. The incident took place in Calapan City, where the victim had just parked his motorcycle at an abandoned gasoline station.
Police Lt. Col. Roden S. Fulache, Calapan City police chief, identified the victim as Lesther G. Ibaan of Barangay Masipit. According to initial reports, Ibaan was targeted by an unidentified suspect who approached on a motorcycle without a license plate.
The Shooting Incident
The suspect fired four shots at Ibaan, causing his death on the spot. A bystander, Kadnor P. Miranda Jr., 57, of Barangay Lumangbayan, was hit by a stray bullet and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Eyewitnesses said the gunman quickly fled the scene after the attack.
