Low Pressure Area Maintains Low Development Chance
The low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine area of responsibility remains unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, officials reported on Monday morning. This information comes from the latest tropical cyclone formation outlook issued at 10 a.m. by the state weather bureau.
As of 8 a.m., the LPA was positioned approximately 150 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. No other tropical cyclones or LPAs are currently being tracked inside or outside the Philippine area of responsibility, sources said.

Flood and Landslide Risks Heightened

Officials emphasized that rainfall amounts may be higher in elevated areas, and previous heavy rains could worsen the situation in some localities.
