LTO Aims High for 2025 Revenue Collection
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is confident it will achieve the P34 billion revenue target set for 2025. Officials reported that as of July this year, the agency has already collected nearly P19.74 billion, signaling strong progress toward the goal.
Majority of Regions Surpass Halfway Mark
Data from the LTO reveals that most regions have collected more than 50% of their 2025 revenue targets, with several exceeding 60%. Community members noted that these collections stem from motor vehicle registrations and renewals, driver’s license applications and renewals, and other related LTO services.
Increased Target Reflects Positive Trends
LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II explained that the revenue target was raised from P33 billion last year to P34 billion this year. This adjustment reflects the agency’s optimistic outlook based on consistent positive collections in recent years.
Driving Efforts to Support National Programs
“We raised the target because our assessment is that it is achievable. All that is needed is aggressive and proper methods to achieve it because when we remit a lot to the national government, it will also be a big help in programs and projects for our poor countrymen,” Mendoza said. Local leaders highlighted the importance of these funds in supporting government programs aimed at improving lives nationwide.
Gratitude and Confidence Among LTO Personnel
Expressing appreciation, Mendoza added, “This early, I would like to express my gratitude to all LTO personnel for all your efforts. There is still a lot to be collected but I am confident that we will be able to do it, just like we did two years ago.” Officials remain optimistic that with sustained dedication, the revenue target will be met or even surpassed.
