LTO Motorcycle Plates Distribution Suspended August 25
The Land Transportation Office motorcycle plates distribution will be limited on Monday, August 25, as the agency suspends most of its operations. Officials reported that all LTO offices nationwide will be closed in observance of National Heroes Day, with services resuming on Tuesday, August 26.
This temporary halt is in line with Proclamation No. 727, signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., declaring August 25 a regular holiday. The day honors the courage and sacrifices of Filipino heroes who fought for the nation’s freedom, community members noted.
Limited Services on August 25
Despite the suspension, the Public Assistance and Complaints Desk at the LTO Central Office will continue to distribute motorcycle plates from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for those who visit the office on August 25. Local leaders emphasized this limited operation ensures motorcycle owners can still claim their plates without interruption.
Upcoming Plate Distribution Caravan Dates
In addition, the LTO recently announced a Plate Distribution Caravan targeting motorcycle owners who have not received their plates from 2014 to 2017. The remaining caravan sessions will be held on August 26, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and on September 6, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., sources said.
Requirements for Motorcycle Owners
Motorcycle owners planning to attend the caravan must bring several important documents. These include the original and photocopy of the official receipt or certificate of registration, a valid ID of the registered owner, and a deed of sale if the motorcycle is not yet registered under their name, officials reported. Bringing these ensures a smooth and quick plate distribution process.
