Lucky Manzano’s Exciting Showbiz Comeback
Charismatic actor and beloved television host Luis Lucky Manzano is making a vibrant return to the entertainment scene. His infectious energy and charm promise to captivate fans anew as he dives back into showbiz with fresh projects and endorsements.
Lucky Manzano made a surprise appearance at the June 13 premiere of “Sins of the Father” at Gateway 2, Araneta City. The event also marked the public return of his wife, actress Jessy Mendiola, who is stepping back into TV. This was a rare joint appearance for the couple in recent months.
“Ako ang nagdirek nito,” Lucky joked when asked if he was ready to watch his wife on screen again. “Seriously, I have to say sa bawat uwi ni Haw Haw, sobrang siyang happy sa lahat ng ginawa nilang eksena. Kinuwento niya yung mga eksena niya with Gerald or RK. Excited ako for this series.”
Lucky enthusiastically confirmed his comeback to showbiz after a long break. He shared his excitement about ongoing tapings and new endorsements, thankful for the trust ABS-CBN has placed in him. “Naka-tatlong araw na ako ng taping. May endorsement na ako at may mga paparating pa na endorsement. So tuloy-tuloy na ito,” he said. He noted some brand deals were delayed due to the election campaign but are now moving forward.
Family, Projects, and New Opportunities
When asked about working alongside his wife Jessy and their daughter Peanut, Lucky said it was possible. “Pwede naman. Napag usapan na namin yan pero si Peanut hindi ko pa alam kung pwede na siya isama. May napagusapan na kami kanina na isang project involving ako, Jessy at si mommy.”
He reminisced about missing sitcoms, especially “Home Sweetie Home,” where he worked with Toni Gonzaga, Vhong Navarro, and Bayani Agbayani. “If mommy gets a sitcom, we’ll see a different Vilma Santos. But if Haw Haw is with us, it’s sure to be fun.”
Lucky’s credibility as a product endorser remains strong, and he’s set to return to TV with his game show “Rainbow Rumble” on Kapamilya Channel every weekend starting June 29 and 30, 2025. Additionally, his other shows, “Deal or No Deal” and “Minute To Win It,” are confirmed to come back.
Award-Winning Host and Devoted Family Man
Lucky’s hosting skills have earned him numerous awards, including Best Game Show Host and Best Male TV Host. He also received recognition as Best Supporting Actor for the 2009 film “In My Life,” starring alongside his mother Vilma Santos and John Lloyd Cruz.
Despite his accolades, fans admire Lucky not only for his talent but also for his dedication as a husband to Jessy and father to their daughter Isabella Rose. He recently allowed his daughter to join his wife in an endorsement, promising fans it would be something special.
Lucky emphasized his desire for Peanut to finish school before exploring show business. “Katulad ng ginawa sa akin ng family ko, studies first. Ayoko naman na lumaki siya na may question siya na ‘Ano kaya ang feeling ng isang artista?’ As long as she won’t neglect her studies and if she tries showbiz, that’s enough.”
He also shared a charming insight into Peanut’s love for singing. “Hindi ko alam kung namana niya ang boses ko basta tuloy-tuloy siyang kumanta. Ginagamit niyang microphone yung makeup brush ni Haw Haw,” he said.
Lucky Manzano’s return marks a promising chapter filled with new shows, endorsements, and heartfelt family moments.
