Major Infrastructure Projects Inaugurated at Police Regional Office-6

PNP Chief Leads Groundbreaking at Police Regional Office-6

ILOILO CITY – Just days before his retirement, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco D. Marbil spearheaded the inauguration and groundbreaking of significant infrastructure projects at the Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) headquarters. The key highlight of the event was the unveiling of a new condominium building designed to accommodate the PRO-6 Command Group and Regional Staff.

New Condominium Building Enhances Police Staff Accommodation

On Tuesday, May 27, Gen. Marbil joined PRO-6 Chief Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky to officially open the five-story condominium within Camp Delgado. This facility aims to provide comfortable and secure housing for police personnel, improving operational readiness and morale. The building stands as a testament to ongoing efforts to modernize police infrastructure in the region.

Alongside the inauguration, a commemorative bust of Gen. Martin B. Delgado was unveiled. Gen. Delgado, a revered hero of the Philippine Revolution and the first governor of Iloilo province, lends his name to the police regional headquarters to honor his legacy.

Honoring the Fallen and Advancing Policing Technology

Gen. Marbil also led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Heroes Wall, a dedicated monument recognizing the ultimate sacrifices made by the men and women of the PNP. This tribute aims to preserve the memory of those who served with valor and dedication.

In addition, the PRO-6 introduced its Technology Oriented Policing (TOP) program, a forward-looking initiative that leverages technology to enhance crime prevention strategies. This program reflects a commitment to adapting modern tools and methods to ensure public safety effectively.

Looking Ahead: Strengthening Police Capabilities

These newly launched infrastructure projects and programs mark significant progress for the Police Regional Office-6. Local experts emphasize that such developments are crucial to supporting police personnel and improving community safety.

With the completion of these projects, PRO-6 is poised to strengthen its operational capabilities and provide better services to the public. The integration of technology and enhanced facilities will contribute to a more responsive and efficient police force in the region.
