Makati Police Seize P455,000 Shabu in Buy-Bust Operation
A 61-year-old man was arrested in a high-stakes drug bust in Barangay Olympia, Makati City, on the night of June 2. The Makati police successfully recovered P455,000 worth of shabu during the operation.
The suspect, known locally as “Waki,” has been labeled a high-value drug personality by authorities. Law enforcement officers, employing a police poseur buyer, managed to purchase P500 worth of shabu from Waki. This transaction enabled the immediate arrest of the suspect.
Details of the Seizure and Arrest
Upon arrest, Waki surrendered 67 grams of shabu, valued at approximately P455,600, along with drug paraphernalia. Authorities confirmed that he will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. These charges will be filed before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
