Malabon Deploys Water Pressure Washers to Combat Summer Heat
The Malabon City government has activated three high-powered water pressure washers to clean and cool down public spaces amid the intense summer heat. This proactive effort began on May 27 and targets busy areas such as roads, parks, and markets.
Local officials emphasized the importance of this initiative, highlighting that the water pressure washers help reduce the heat’s impact on residents.
Features of the Water Pressure Washers
These washers are powerful and efficient, boasting a rating of 2,300 watts with a pressure of 150 bars. They can deliver up to 510 liters of water per hour and come equipped with advanced features such as 4-pole motors with thermal protection, ceramic pistons, built-in detergent tanks, and ergonomic trolleys. This technology enables the city to maintain cleanliness while also watering plants and trees to enhance the environment.
Health and Safety Measures During Summer
This water pressure washer campaign is part of a broader public health and hygiene program that the city government is implementing during the summer months. Officials also stressed the importance of keeping the city clean to prevent flooding during the upcoming rainy season.
Targeted Areas for Operation
The cleaning efforts focus on Malabon Center Island, Malabon Landmark, Catmon People’s Park, and Hulo Plaza. In addition to the cleaning and cooling benefits, the city encourages residents to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours to ensure their well-being.
