Malacañang Declares Special Non-Working Days in Three Towns
Malacañang has officially declared special non-working days in three municipalities across the Philippines. This move aims to honor significant local anniversaries in Misamis Oriental, Negros Oriental, and Zamboanga Sibugay.
According to official announcements, the four-word keyphrase “special non-working days” marks notable celebrations in these communities. Magsaysay town in Misamis Oriental will observe July 1 as a special holiday to commemorate its founding anniversary.
Guihulngan City and Ipil Town Join Celebrations
Furthermore, Guihulngan City in Negros Oriental will celebrate its charter anniversary on July 14. This has been declared a special non-working day under the recent proclamation. Likewise, Ipil town in Zamboanga Sibugay will observe July 26 as a holiday in honor of its 76th Araw ng Ipil.
The proclamations establishing these special non-working days were signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on June 23. Local officials and residents welcomed the declarations, noting the importance of these days in preserving cultural heritage and fostering community pride.
These special non-working days offer residents a chance to reflect on their town’s history and participate in various commemorative activities. They also provide an opportunity for families to gather and celebrate their shared identity.
