Major Drug Bust in Mandaue City
Authorities in Mandaue City successfully seized shabu valued at P10.2 million during a buy-bust operation on the night of May 26. The large quantity of illegal drugs was confiscated from a 39-year-old man identified as a key player in the local drug trade.
The City Intelligence Unit and the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) led the operation. They discovered 15 packs of shabu in the suspect’s possession after weeks of surveillance.

The seized substances are now being forwarded to the MCPO forensic unit for chemical verification. Meanwhile, authorities are preparing to file charges under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, against the suspect.
