Marcos Sons Honor President Marcos on Father’s Day

Marcos sons share heartfelt Father’s Day tribute

On Sunday, the sons of President Marcos took time to honor their father with touching memories and heartfelt thanks. Their video message, posted on the President’s official Facebook page, highlighted the strong bond they share and the valuable life lessons they’ve learned. The four-word keyphrase “President Marcos Father’s Day” captures the essence of this emotional tribute.

Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos praised his father not only as a national leader but also as a mentor and pillar of strength for their family. “Thank you so much for everything that you do for the family, for everything that you do for us—your constant guidance. It’s an honor for me to learn from you on a daily basis,” he said. Sandro also admired how his father remained “resolute in the face of adversity.”

“I couldn’t ask for a better dad. I couldn’t ask for a better mentor. And I couldn’t ask for anyone better than you to work with,” Sandro added with gratitude. He concluded with a warm, “Thank you for all the sound advice that you give me, which I really, really do need from you sometimes. Love you, Pop!”

Expressing love and lessons from President Marcos

Simon Marcos, the President’s middle son, echoed these sentiments, expressing his deep appreciation. “You’re the best possible father I could ever have. And thank you so much for being there. I couldn’t have gone anywhere without you,” he said sincerely. He ended with a loving message: “I love you so much. And I hope you are having the best Father’s Day possible. Love you to bits.”

Youngest son Vincent “Vinny” Marcos highlighted the many ways their father shows love. “My dad always gave all five love languages, honestly. He always spent time with us. He gave us gifts growing up. So yeah, I think… best of all worlds,” he said. Vinny recalled his favorite moments bonding with his dad, whether kayaking or watching TV together.

Vinny also shared an important lesson from their father: “My dad always told me, pikon, talo (if you’re quick to anger, you lose). So don’t let other people’s emotions get in the way of what you’re trying to do and what you believe in,” he explained. He closed with a heartfelt greeting, “Happy Father’s Day, Pop. Thanks for always being there for me. And thanks for being someone that I can always look up to. Love you, Pop.”

First Lady honors President Marcos this Father’s Day

Meanwhile, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos posted her own message on Instagram. She called the President “the love of my life” and the “heart of our home.” She thanked him for being “the calm in our chaos and the king of our castle [even if I’m still the Queen].”

She beautifully summed up the day: “Today, we celebrate the man our children look up to and the husband I still look at with love [and occasional exasperation]. Love you forever.”

This collective tribute from the Marcos family offers a glimpse into the personal side of President Marcos, showing his role not just as a leader, but as a father and husband.
