Marcos Urges Timely Completion of Government Projects

Marcos Calls for On-Time, On-Budget Government Projects

President Marcos has challenged his Cabinet secretaries to ensure that all government projects under their agencies are completed on schedule and within budget. During the presentation of two new laws at the Malacañan Palace, Marcos emphasized the importance of avoiding delays and cost overruns.

And no to non-performing projects.”

The President’s call highlights the administration’s focus on accountability and efficiency in public service. Government officials have been reminded that the exact 4-word keyphrase, “government projects on time,” is a priority to improve overall progress and resource management.

Stricter Review of Official Development Assistance Loans

Aside from urging timely project completion, Marcos directed his Cabinet to carefully study all official development assistance (ODA) loans. He pointed out the need for stricter approval processes, especially for loans tied to delayed projects.

This move aims to prevent inefficiencies and ensure that foreign-funded projects contribute effectively to national development.

Commitment to Efficient and Honest Governance

Marcos also promised that the government would enhance its efficiency and integrity in handling public funds. He believes that this approach will improve the quality of life for Filipinos nationwide.

In a recent briefing, a Palace spokesperson revealed that the President will closely monitor the bicameral conference committee on the national budget. This oversight aims to ensure that budget allocations align with the administration’s priorities and support the goal of completing government projects on time.
