Surveillance Leads to Arrests and Confiscation
At around 10:30 p.m., barangay patrolmen noticed a suspicious transfer involving a wing van truck unloading suspected hot meat into a refrigerated vehicle. Officials promptly reported the incident to the National Meat Inspection Service and local police units, triggering a swift response.
Proper Handling and Legal Action Underway
Following the seizure, the confiscated goods were immediately turned over to the National Meat Inspection Service for proper disposition, officials reported. Meanwhile, charges for violating the Meat Inspection Code of the Philippines are being prepared against the suspects and will be filed before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Malolos.
