Mindanao Stalwarts Strengthen Party Unity Early
Special Assistant to the President Anton Lagdameo and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) President, South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr., gathered newly elected and returning lawmakers on Tuesday. The meeting aimed to build stronger party unity and secure support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s legislative agenda.
Twenty-two out of twenty-eight winning lawmakers attended the session. Also present were Secretary General Isabela Governor Rodito Albano and Executive Director Bulacan Representative Florida “Rida” Robes. Together, they emphasized the vital role of a united PFP bloc in Congress.
Unity and Strategy for Legislative Success
Governor Tamayo highlighted that solidarity within the party is crucial for advancing the administration’s key policy measures. “Only through a united front can we push forward the priority bills,” local leaders noted.
Meanwhile, Secretary General Albano encouraged PFP lawmakers to carefully choose committee assignments that match their skills and experience. This strategic approach, he said, will enhance their contribution to the legislative process.
Supporting New Lawmakers for a Smooth Transition
Executive Director Robes pledged the party’s full support to incoming representatives, assuring them of guidance as they begin their duties. “We are committed to helping our members transition smoothly and serve effectively,” she said.
The meeting marked a renewed commitment among PFP members to work cohesively and responsibly. Their goal is to champion the legislative priorities of the Marcos administration in the 20th Congress.
