Eastern Police District Boosts Visibility for School Opening
The Eastern Police District (EPD) is set to deploy more than 535 personnel to strengthen police visibility across Metro East. This move aims to ensure public safety, maintain order, and support students, parents, and teachers during the school opening on June 16.
The EPD’s increased presence will cover key areas including Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, and San Juan. Authorities have coordinated extensively with local government units, barangay officials, and school administrators to guarantee comprehensive security during this important period.
Collaborative Efforts for Safe School Zones
In line with the Department of Education’s annual school opening initiative, police forces will manage traffic flow, secure school perimeters, and assist within school grounds. These efforts focus on creating a safe and orderly environment for everyone involved.
EPD District Director Brig. Gen. Aden Lagradante emphasized the importance of proactive visibility and rapid response. He stated, “The EPD remains committed to proactive police visibility and quick response throughout the entire opening week and beyond.”
Public Assistance and Vigilance Encouraged
To further support the community, assistance desks will be set up in key school areas to provide immediate help. The public is also urged to stay alert and report any suspicious activities by calling 911. This call-to-action aligns with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III’s directive to respond within five minutes.
Local leaders noted that this comprehensive approach aims to reassure students, parents, and educators of their safety as the new school year begins. Through combined efforts, the EPD hopes to foster a secure environment conducive to learning and community peace.
