Motorcycle Rider Arrested for Transporting Illegal Drugs in Parañaque City
A motorcycle rider was initially stopped by police for not wearing a helmet but was later found carrying illegal drugs worth P307,000 in Parañaque City on May 23. The incident unfolded early in the morning near Imperial Plaza on Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard in Barangay Tambo.
Local authorities conducting “Oplan Sita” flagged down the suspect, identified by authorities as alias “Hidehiro,” a 21-year-old resident of Tondo, Manila. When officers requested his driver’s license and motorcycle documents, he refused to comply and attempted to escape on foot, abandoning his motorcycle.
Illegal Drugs Found During Police Inspection
Upon inspecting the motorcycle’s compartment, police discovered 40 grams of shabu packaged in 15 aluminum sachets and 10 clear sachets, with an estimated value of P272,000. In addition, ecstasy tablets valued at P35,000 were also recovered. These findings led to the immediate arrest of the suspect.
Authorities detained the suspect at the Parañaque City Police custodial facility. He is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as well as for resisting and disobeying persons in authority.

Reports indicate that police continue to strengthen their efforts against illegal drug activities in Parañaque City through operations like “Oplan Sita,” which aim to enforce traffic regulations while simultaneously identifying criminal behavior.
