Disaster Committees Mobilized Following Earthquake
GENERAL NAKAR, Quezon – In response to the recent seismic event, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office has promptly activated Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees. Their primary task is to collect updates and reports from affected areas regarding the earthquake that struck on Tuesday, May 27.
Damage Assessments Underway at Critical Facilities
The MDRRMO has conducted roving inspections across key municipal sites to assess any damage caused by the earthquake. According to consolidated reports from community leaders and local experts, no casualties, injuries, or related incidents have been reported so far.
Meanwhile, the municipal engineer’s office is currently inspecting the municipal hall for any structural damage resulting from the tremor.
