Muntinlupa Police Arrest Man for Illegal Firearm Possession
Authorities in Muntinlupa apprehended a man on May 22 for illegal firearm possession and violating the gun ban. Operatives from the local police’s Warrant and Subpoena Unit identified the suspect as alias Valentin, 30, a resident of Sitio Pagkakaisa, Barangay Sucat.
The arrest was made based on a warrant issued by a regional trial court judge. Valentin ranks as the No. 7 most wanted person in Muntinlupa for May, according to community reports. He currently faces two gun-related cases.
Charges and Bail Details
In one case, he is charged with violating Republic Act 10591, which regulates firearms and ammunition. The bail for this charge is set at PHP 100,000. Meanwhile, a separate case accuses him of carrying a firearm outside his home or business during the election period, violating Section 261 (Q) of the Omnibus Election Code. The recommended bail for this is PHP 36,000.
