New Online Domain Announced by DMW
The Department of Migrant Workers has officially unveiled its new domain as part of its ongoing digital transformation. This change is in line with Republic Act 11641 and supports the agency’s commitment to providing modern, streamlined services for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). As of April 28, 2022, the department now uses the domain @dmw.gov.ph for all official communication and online systems.
Within the first 100 words, the Department of Migrant Workers emphasized that this update is not only a technical improvement, but also a strategic move to unify its services under one digital identity. With this domain shift, all email addresses previously under the POEA system are now updated to reflect the new agency’s official name.
Transition to a Unified Digital Platform
Authorized users, partners, and the general public accessing DMW systems should now use the updated domain to ensure secure and uninterrupted communication. For instance, an email like example@poea.gov.ph should now be written as example@dmw.gov.ph, using the same username. This update is critical for maintaining smooth operations and communication with the department.
Visitors can also access DMW’s expanding suite of online services through the department’s main website. The change supports improved coordination across offices previously managed under different names. This unified domain will help enhance service consistency and online identity recognition.
Support Available During the Shift
As the Department of Migrant Workers continues to migrate its digital systems, users might encounter temporary changes in functionality or interface behavior. These transitions are part of broader ICT restructuring efforts that affect all integrated offices now under the department’s umbrella.
Should any issues arise during the transition, the DMW ICT Branch is ready to assist. You may reach them through the following contact points:
- Email: ict@dmw.gov.ph
- Landline: (+63) 8727-7778 or (+63) 8721-9496
Improved Digital Services for OFWs
This shift to the new domain is a crucial step toward the department’s broader mission of improving public service delivery for OFWs. By consolidating its online presence, the Department of Migrant Workers aims to deliver faster, more reliable, and more secure digital services for all stakeholders involved in overseas employment.
The agency also asks for understanding as internal systems are realigned. These updates are expected to lay the foundation for a more integrated and efficient communication infrastructure moving forward.
