Newlyweds Michele Gumabao Embrace Married Life
Newlyweds Michele Gumabao and Aldo Panlilio are enjoying married life surrounded by their beloved fur babies—Rain, Luna, Rainbow, Sky, and Cloud. The volleyball star shared, “It’s not that I am adjusting to married life. I love being married to Aldo!” Their bond grows stronger as they support each other’s careers.
Michele explained how her volleyball season coincided with their wedding, saying, “After our wedding, it was the mid-season of our volleyball games, so I had to finish that.” Thankfully, Aldo understands her commitments, being a strength and conditioning coach for the San Miguel Beermen himself. This shared sports background helps them navigate their busy schedules with mutual respect.
Balancing Career and Family Commitments
Before heading to the Bicol Kaogmahan Festival, where she was invited as a beauty pageant judge, Michele took time to chat. As a former Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2018, she embraced the opportunity to judge the Kaogmahon pageant. She was also en route to Naga to host a birthday event.
Reflecting on recent months, Michele shared, “After our March wedding in Baguio, I had to leave him for a month for our volleyball season.” Right after the season, she supported her brother Marco Gumabao’s first campaign for representative of Camarines Sur’s fourth district. Although he did not win, he fought honorably, and Michele expressed gratitude for the community’s support. “He has accepted that it is not yet his time but hopes to serve the people in the future,” she noted.
Fur Babies and Future Plans
Michele revealed that Aldo is rarely lonely during her absences because of their five dogs who keep him company. Aside from family life, the couple is also venturing into business. They are opening a coffee bar in Poblacion called Tree House, which serves coffee by day and transforms into a bar at night.
Alongside their business pursuits, Michele and her teammates launched a KFC franchise. She also plans to host summer volleyball camps for aspiring high school and college players. “Just check my Instagram @gumabaomichele and Facebook Michele Gumabao for announcements,” she said.
Looking Ahead
When asked about starting a family, Michele responded, “Eventually, we will, we will let God decide on the timing. But for now, we are enjoying our careers and several budding businesses.”
With a combined social media following of 2.8 million across Facebook and Instagram, Michele remains a positive influence to the youth. Her dedication to sports, family, and entrepreneurship shows her multi-faceted life as a modern role model.
