Orange Rainfall Warning in Metro Manila and Luzon Provinces
Metro Manila and seven provinces in Luzon are now under an orange rainfall warning, signaling that flooding risks remain high. This alert comes from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) as of Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
According to Pagasa, these areas may receive between 15 to 30 millimeters of rainfall within the next three hours. Residents are advised to remain vigilant as the orange rainfall warning indicates ongoing threats of flooding in vulnerable locations.
Areas Under Orange Rainfall Warning
The following regions are expected to experience significant rainfall soon:
- Metro Manila
- Zambales
- Bataan
- Bulacan
- Pampanga
- Cavite
- Batangas
- Rizal
Yellow Warning and Flood Risks Continue
Meanwhile, a yellow rainfall warning covers Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, and Laguna. This warning means these areas may get between 7.5 to 15 millimeters of rainfall within the next three hours. The weather bureau warns that flooding remains possible, especially in flood-prone zones.
Currently, Quezon province is experiencing light to moderate rain with occasional heavy showers, which may last up to three more hours.
Monitoring Low-Pressure Areas
Pagasa is also keeping a close watch on three low-pressure areas. Two are within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), and one is outside. Notably, one of the LPAs inside PAR has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, sources said. This may further impact rainfall and flooding conditions in affected regions.
Residents in affected areas should stay updated and heed local advisories to stay safe during this period of heavy rains.
