A total of 1,152 devotees sought medical assistance during the procession of the image of Jesus Nazareno on Good Friday, according to the Quiapo Church.
In a statement, Quiapo Church rector and parish priest Rev. Fr. Ramon Jade Licuanan said that nine were hospitalized and three of them were in severe condition.
“Mayroon pong 1,152 medical cases; siyam po rito ang dinala sa ibat-ibang ospital ng DOH sa Maynila. Base po sa ulat, tatlo ang nasa malubhang kalagayan,” he said.
(There are 1,152 medical cases; nine of them were brought to various DOH hospitals in Manila. Based on the report, three were in severe condition.)
“Kasalukuyan pong tinitipon pa ng mga kinatawan ng Quiapo Church ang detalye ng kanilang kalagayan, at patuloy po kaming magbibigay ng karagdagang impormasyon sa pangyayari,” he added.

Licuanan said the procession of the image of Jesus Nazareno started at 11:15 p.m. on Maundy Thursday and ended at 10:45 a.m. on Good Friday.
The procession attended by around 520,000 devotees took 11 hours and 16 minutes, he added.
“Dinaluhan po ito ng mahigit kumulang 532,000 na deboto mula sa ibat- ibang lugar sa Pilipinas. Wala pong naitala na insidente kaugnay ng Peace and Order, Safety, and Security,” Licuanan said.

“Nagpapasalamat po ang Simbahan ng Quiapo sa pamunuan ng ibat-ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, mga volunteers, at mga deboto na nagsikap itaguyod ang banal, maayos, at ligtas na pagdiriwang ng Semana Santa 2025,” he added.
