Major Drug Bust in Parañaque Condo
Authorities seized illegal drugs worth P3.1 million during a buy-bust operation at a condominium in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City, officials reported. The raid took place early Tuesday morning and targeted a suspected drug syndicate operating within the premises.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) confirmed the confiscation of various illegal substances, emphasizing the significance of the bust in their ongoing campaign against narcotics.
Details of Seized Illegal Drugs
During the operation, police recovered 791 suspected ecstasy tablets valued at approximately P1.34 million. Additionally, 200 grams of suspected ketamine worth P1 million were confiscated. The haul also included 1,000 grams of suspected marijuana kush with an estimated value of P700,000 and 500 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves valued at P60,000.
Suspects in Custody Await Charges
Five individuals were arrested during the raid. Although the NCRPO withheld their names, they described the detainees as “high-profile” suspects involved in the illegal drug trade. The arrested persons are currently held in NCRPO custody, pending formal charges.
Local authorities revealed that the suspects will face charges under Republic Act 9165, known as the Dangerous Drugs Act. The Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office will handle the legal proceedings against them.
