Four High-Value Suspects Nabbed in Pampanga Drug Bust
In a significant blow to illegal drug activities, authorities seized P788,000 worth of shabu during operations in Pampanga. The crackdown targeted four high-value suspects, marking a major success early in the region’s campaign against narcotics.
Local police conducted coordinated raids in the City of San Fernando and Porac town over two days, leading to the arrests and confiscation of substantial quantities of crystal meth. The early morning and evening operations revealed the suspects’ involvement in the drug trade, according to sources within the law enforcement community.
Key Arrests and Confiscation Details
On Wednesday at around 6 p.m., police apprehended a 23-year-old suspect known by the alias “Joven” in Barangay Calulut, San Fernando. Authorities seized approximately 60 grams of shabu valued at P408,000 from him. The individual is considered a high-priority target in the ongoing anti-drug campaign.
Meanwhile, earlier on Tuesday, three other suspects—identified only as “Jer,” “Tito,” and “Ilyong”—were arrested during a separate buy-bust operation in Barangay Pio, Porac. Law enforcement confiscated roughly 56 grams of shabu, estimated to be worth P380,800, from the group.
Vehicle and Evidence Seized
The police also impounded a Toyota Vios, reportedly used by the suspects during the drug transactions. This vehicle is now held as evidence to support the ongoing investigation.
Authorities confirmed that all four suspects remain in police custody. Investigators are currently preparing the necessary documents to file charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operations were closely coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, ensuring a unified approach to dismantling drug networks in the province. Local officials noted that these arrests send a strong message to those involved in illegal drug activities.
“All arrested individuals are currently under police custody while the necessary documents for the filing of charges for violations of RA 9165 are being finalized,” a police statement said.
Ongoing Efforts Against Illegal Drugs
This recent seizure highlights the intensified efforts of Pampanga law enforcement to curb drug proliferation early in their jurisdictions. The collaboration between local police forces and national agencies strengthens the fight against narcotics, aiming for safer communities.
