Details of the Suspect Pursuit at Pagadian Airport
Local leaders noted that the pursuit started outside the airport grounds but escalated when the suspect entered the secured runway area. Despite the breach, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines assured the public that no flights were delayed or canceled during the incident.
“CAAP assured the public that no flights were disrupted and no damage was sustained to airport facilities or equipment,” community members said, emphasizing the airport’s quick response and coordination with law enforcement.
Strict Enforcement of No Smoking and Vaping Rules at Airports
Meanwhile, CAAP reiterated its warning against smoking or vaping inside airport premises and onboard airplanes. This reminder follows reports of passengers violating these regulations, which prompted authorities to remind the public of the penalties under existing laws.
