Palace to Disclose PrimeWater Controversies Findings
MANILA — The Palace will soon reveal the findings of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) investigation into PrimeWater Infrastructure Corp., a water service provider owned by the Villar family. This move comes amid rising concerns and complaints from customers nationwide.
Palace press officer Undersecretary Claire Castro shared that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is currently reviewing the detailed report from LWUA. However, she refrained from disclosing the government’s next steps regarding the resolution of the issues.
Extensive LWUA Report Submitted to Palace
During a press briefing, Castro noted that the LWUA handed over a comprehensive folder packed with documents “that can fill up two balikbayan boxes.” She assured the public, especially PrimeWater’s consumers, that the government is fully attentive to the problem.
“The public, especially the consumers of PrimeWater, can be assured that the government is not turning a blind eye to this problem. We are studying it carefully. The outcome of this investigation is for you,” Castro emphasized.
She also confirmed that the Office of the President is preparing legal measures based on the investigation’s findings.
“Definitely, we will take legal action. Action that is in accordance with the law, no one will be unfairly treated, but it must serve the people,” she added.

“As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability, we continue to engage with stakeholders and uphold our obligations under the joint venture framework,” the statement read.
