PBB Duo Emilio Michael Ready for BL Project
Former housemates from the recent season of a popular reality show, PBB duo Emilio Michael, are eager to take on a BL (Boy’s Love) project if the opportunity arises. Emilio Daez and Michael Sager, now popularly known as MiLi, first captured viewers’ attention as the first male evictees last April 26 in the unique collaboration between two major Philippine TV networks.
Emilio admitted he was truly surprised by the overwhelming support they received upon exiting the Big Brother house. Their chemistry and friendship have blossomed, sparking excitement among fans who believe their partnership would be a perfect fit for a BL series, which would surely resonate with the LGBTQIA+ community.
Embracing Opportunities Together
Both Emilio and Michael have appeared on various shows from different networks, making their teamwork even more visible to the public. When asked about the possibility of a BL project during a recent press conference, Emilio stated, “I think whenever the opportunities come to us, we will do one hundred percent.”
He further emphasized their openness and professionalism: “Michael and I are very open and, of course, very professional so whatever opportunities are in front of us, we will always say yes.”
Expressing Genuine Friendship and Affection
Emilio also shared that being expressive with feelings is natural for him, especially toward people he cares about. In response to some netizens misinterpreting their closeness, he explained, “I think po galing po yun sa family ko. Kasi doon sa family ko, we’re very expressive with how we show our affection for each other.”
He added, “Both sides of the family, my mom’s side and my dad’s side. So, yun po talaga yung kinalakihan ko.” According to Emilio, his comfort level with Michael, whom he considers a best friend in the industry, allows him to freely show happiness and love: “At I guess, kapag kumportable ako sa isang tao…kumbaga, si Michael na masasabi ko nang isang best friend ko na dito sa industriya, ay ipapakita ko talaga na masaya ako kasama siya, yung pagmamahal ko for him.”
Positive Reception and Career Growth
Emilio expressed gratitude for the warm reception from fans supporting the MiLi team. “I’m happy na positive po yung reception ng team MiLi sa aming dalawa,” he said. He also highlighted how their friendship makes working together enjoyable: “Kasi, honestly, it doesn’t feel like work when we’re together especially sa mga guestings, kasi parang kasama mo lang yung best friend mo.”
He concluded by appreciating the connections formed through their reality show experience: “I think that’s one of the perks of being here now in this industry and from that house na you’re able to make connections like that.”
