BACOLOD CITY – The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region confirmed that the opening of classes in the region for the 2025-2026 school year proceeded peacefully and in an orderly manner. Police Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, the regional police director, reported that no untoward incidents occurred during the first day of classes. He emphasized that 85 percent of the police force in the region was deployed to secure students and manage traffic effectively. “This is in line with the directive of PNP chief Police Gen.
