Philconstruct Visayas: Central Visayas Construction Trade Show Launches
CEBU CITY – The Central Visayas construction trade scene will come alive from June 19 to 21 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino with the Philconstruct Visayas event. This premier Central Visayas construction trade show promises a vibrant showcase of innovation and craftsmanship.
Organized by the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA) alongside the Cebu Contractors Association (CCA) and managed by Philconstruct Events, Exhibitions, and Conference Corp., the 14th edition spans 6,000 square meters. Over 300 top-tier brands will present their latest products to an anticipated crowd of more than 7,000 trade buyers and professionals.
“We are building not just structures, but a stronger, more resilient industry,” said PCA President Engr. Jerry Pancho at the event launch. He highlighted the PCA’s Industry 2030 Roadmap and sustainability efforts, emphasizing regional partnerships that support growth both in Cebu and throughout the Visayas region.
Building Strength Through Local Innovation
Engr. Kevin Lim of the CCA praised Cebu’s role as a regional hub for technical excellence and innovation in construction. “We are proud of the builders and talent coming from the Visayas. Philconstruct is not just an exhibit, it’s a celebration of Filipino quality and craftsmanship,” he remarked.
A key feature of the trade show is the Technoforum, designed to elevate industry expertise. PEECC Director Engr. Ronaldo “Jun” Elepano explained the forum’s focus on green building, artificial intelligence in construction, and digital transformation. “We want every participant to leave with not just products but ideas and tools that will shape how we build tomorrow.”
Expanding Access and Knowledge Across Regions
Chairman Engr. Ruben Cueto emphasized Philconstruct’s nationwide reach, spanning Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and Metro Manila. This expansion creates greater access for local builders and energizes regional construction ecosystems.
“By bringing Philconstruct to the regions, we create access to opportunity. Events like this energize local ecosystems and give voice to the builders beyond Metro Manila,” he said. Education remains a priority, with seminars like Construction Contracts helping professionals make smarter, more secure business decisions.
Engr. Bernard Vonn Sia, event chairman, reflected on the show’s growth. “From a small initiative to a major regional showcase, Philconstruct Visayas has matured. This year, we’ve introduced smarter features, new technologies, and stronger collaborations with organizations like UAP, PICE, PIID, and ACEL. We’re no longer just keeping up, we’re helping set the standard.”
