According to sources familiar with the matter, an internal inquiry found enough prima facie evidence to justify further legal proceedings. “The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) takes all forms of misconduct and breaches of military discipline with utmost seriousness,” a military spokesperson stated on the evening of May 20.
The accusations reportedly stem from an incident that occurred on January 29, after a night-out event. The victims filed their complaints the following day, prompting swift action from military authorities.
