SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The Philippine Coast Guard has suspended all sea travel in Zambales due to hazardous sea conditions caused by Tropical Storm Crising and the intensified southwest monsoon. The move aims to protect lives and prevent accidents in the affected areas.
Commander Euphraim Jayson Diciano, head of PCG Zambales, emphasized that all vessels and motorboats are banned from operating except those seeking safe harbor. “We strongly advise the riding public, coastal residents, and fisherfolk to refrain from any sea-related or weather-sensitive activities until conditions improve to prevent accidents or loss of life,” he said in an official advisory.

According to meteorological authorities, Tropical Storm Crising’s center was located about 195 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, at the time of the latest bulletin. The storm, combined with the strong southwest monsoon, has made sea travel perilous in the region.
Authorities also issued a yellow rainfall warning for Zambales and nearby Olongapo City, signaling expected heavy rainfall between 7.5 to 15 millimeters per hour. This rain is likely to continue for the next two hours, increasing the risk of flooding and landslides in vulnerable communities.
