Philippine Defenders Highlighted in Special Featuring Matteo Guidicelli

Matteo Guidicelli’s Real-Life Action in Philippine Defenders

Matteo Guidicelli showcases his bravery not only on screen but also in real life in the upcoming docu special titled Philippine Defenders. As a Philippine Army reservist holding the rank of 2LT, Matteo’s connection to this project runs deep, reflecting the lives and sacrifices of Filipino soldiers.

He recently shared clips of his daring leap for the special, offering viewers an inside look at his commitment. Additionally, Matteo visited Bulacan for a Balikatan ceremony, demonstrating his active role beyond entertainment.

Balikatan Ceremony: Strengthening Global Partnerships

During the event, Matteo expressed his honor in joining the Balikatan ceremony held in Bulacan, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with military partners from the U.S., Japan, and Australia. He highlighted how this joint effort transcends military exercises to foster unity and community development.

“This joint effort with our partners from the U.S., Japan, and Australia is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together, not just as allies, but as one global community,” Matteo stated. The partnership has led to building new classrooms, investing in education, and supporting the future of Filipino youth.

“Balikatan is more than a military exercise. It’s about building bridges and great relationships! Let’s continue to strengthen these relationships, empower our communities, and work hand-in-hand for a better, brighter tomorrow. We are all defenders of the Philippines. Let’s carry that responsibility with pride,” he added.

Insights into the Philippine Army’s Mission and Sacrifice

In a heartfelt speech, Matteo described the Philippine Army as a traditionally private organization, rarely exposing its inner workings. He feels privileged to share the stories of the brave men and women who serve.

“Being with the soldiers in Mindanao, Jolo, Sulu, you see their eyes and sacrifice and fear in order to fight for our country every single day. I will do my best to give my part as a Filipino citizen and now part of the Army reserve to represent the Army and AFP the best way possible and to tell and show the people how important the Army in each and every individual to give discipline, honor, and patriotism and to look at our flag with love and to say I’m Filipino and I’m proud of that,” he expressed.
