The Philippine Red Cross is fully prepared for Eleksyon 2025 and will deploy over 2,000 staff and volunteers nationwide to support the midterm polls. Their goal is to ensure safe, peaceful, and well-organized voting from May 9 until election day on May 12.
Philippine Red Cross Ready for Eleksyon 2025 with Wide Deployment
To cover key areas, the Red Cross will mobilize 2,260 personnel, including volunteers and staff. They will also send out 28 emergency vehicles, 103 foot patrol teams, and 51 mobile units to various locations across the country.
Ambulance support is a top priority. Thirty-eight ambulances will be stationed in strategic spots, while 140 others remain on alert at local chapters. This ensures quick response to any medical needs during the election period.
First Aid Stations and Welfare Desks Nationwide
The organization will establish 291 first aid stations and 146 welfare desks in high-traffic areas such as airports, arenas, barangay halls, bus terminals, malls, parks, and train stations. These stations provide accessible medical and welfare assistance for voters and the public.
Moreover, Red Cross 143 volunteers will stay on high alert in every barangay to respond promptly if situations arise.
Partnerships Strengthen Philippine Red Cross Role for Eleksyon 2025
As an official partner to the government, the Philippine Red Cross has teamed up with the Commission on Elections, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and Department of Health. They signed a memorandum of agreement on March 27 to protect voters’ welfare during Eleksyon 2025.
Their previous experience in the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections showed the Red Cross’s capability. They assisted nearly 4,000 patients, deployed over 1,000 personnel, and set up numerous first aid stations nationwide to support peaceful and orderly voting.
With these preparations, the Philippine Red Cross aims to help create a safe and well-managed election environment for all Filipinos.
