PITX expecting 2.5M passengers for Holy Week exodus

The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) is expecting over two million passengers for Holy Week 2025.

Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB, PITX spokesperson Jason Salvador said that as of the end of Friday, April 11, about 165,000 passengers have already passed through the terminal heading to their provinces since April 9.

“Magmula April 9 hanggang Wednesday after Easter Sunday, inaasahan nating aabot ng 2.5 million ‘yan (mga pasahero sa PITX),” Salvador said.

The PITX official said that by Sunday, April 13, passengers passing through the terminal are expected to surge.

“Monday, medyo kakaunti ‘yan. Pagdating ng Holy Wednesday at Thursday, tataas ulit ‘yan,” he said.

(The number of passengers for Monday may dip but it will pick up on Holy Wednesday and Thursday.)

The average number of passengers who flocked to PITX stood at 157,000, according to Salvador.

He also advised passengers to book trips ahead of time.

“Medyo talagang may kahirapan na [walk-in na pagbu-book ng ticket]. Nung bago pa ang weekend na ito, medyo nakakapunuan na [ang mga biyahe] lalo na dun sa patungong Bicol,” he said.
