PNP Chief Information Officer Receives First Star Promotion

The chief information officer of the Philippine National Police (PNP) will soon wear his first star following the approval of his promotion, along with ten other police officials. This advancement marks a significant milestone in the careers of these officers.

From the rank of Police Colonel, Randulf T. Tuaño has been promoted to Police Brigadier General, as confirmed by a recent memorandum. This document also listed ten other officers who were elevated to the next rank.

Background and Previous Roles of Randulf T. Tuaño

A graduate of the PNP Academy Class of 1995, Tuaño was appointed head of the Public Information Office (PIO) in January this year. Over the years, he has served in several key roles, including chief of police of General Mariano Alvarez in Cavite and deputy director for Administration of the Finance Service.

Other Police Officials Promoted to Police Colonel

Alongside Tuaño’s promotion, several police officers were elevated to the rank of Police Colonel. These include Vicente Oligario Amante, Jeffrey Bonaobra Bilaro, Cheryl Paler Yatar, Mark Anthony Melmida Andrade, and Regina Narag Basco.

Additionally, James Mejorada Dime, Christel Marie Calumpit Nobleza, Benjamin Aguirre Cruto Jr., Eric Reyes De Venancio, and Roger Ubongen Mangaoang were also promoted to the same rank.
