Four Suspected Robbers Arrested in Makati Heist
Police operatives from the National Capital Region Police Office swiftly captured four suspected robbers following a daring heist in Makati City on the night of May 28. According to reports, the suspects fled the scene riding two motorcycles after robbing a 29-year-old victim along Tordesillas Street, Barangay Bel-Air. They were described as wearing a mix of black clothing and Joyride uniforms. The victim lost a mobile phone and other personal belongings during the incident.
Hot Pursuit Leads to Successful Arrest
The police began a hot pursuit after receiving the robbery report. Assisted by patrolling officers, they intercepted the suspects near Valero Street and eventually apprehended them at the corner of Sedeño Street when the suspects tried to escape.
Authorities seized several items from the suspects, including the stolen mobile phone, a .38 caliber revolver with a defaced serial number, live ammunition, a fragmentation grenade, a replica pistol, a bladed weapon, helmets, bags, and rider uniforms. The two motorcycles used in the crime were also confiscated.
Charges and Police Statements
The suspects now face multiple charges, including robbery and violations related to firearms, explosives, and motorcycle crime prevention laws. They are currently held in police custody pending inquest proceedings before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
