Police Arrest Woman Who Tried Breaking Into Jungkook Home
On June 11, Korean police arrested a Chinese woman in her 30s who attempted to break into the home of BTS member Jungkook. The incident happened the very day Jungkook was discharged from his mandatory military service. Authorities in Seoul’s upscale Yongsan District responded swiftly after receiving reports of the attempted home invasion.
At around 11:20 p.m., the woman was caught repeatedly pressing the keypad to enter the password at Jungkook’s front door. When questioned, she told police she had “come to Korea to see Jungkook, who had just been discharged from the military.” Local sources said the police are conducting a thorough investigation into the details surrounding the event.
Military Discharges and BTS Members
Jungkook and fellow BTS member Jimin were officially discharged on June 11, following the completion of their 18-month military duty. Both enlisted on December 12, 2023. Prior to their return, BTS members RM and V were discharged on June 10. Suga remains the last member to complete his service, with his discharge scheduled for June 21.
Authorities emphasize the importance of safety and privacy for public figures like BTS members, especially during their transition back to civilian life. The police continue to monitor the situation closely as they gather more information.
