Police Regional Office-3 Vows Visibility in Communities to Enhance Safety
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Police Regional Office-3 (Central Luzon) Director Police Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo has pledged to increase visibility in communities to maintain public order and safety. She emphasized the importance of fixed visibility points and checkpoints throughout the region during a command conference held last Friday.
Fajardo stressed that establishing these visibility spots is crucial to ensuring the community feels secure and that police presence remains strong. “We must stand united in preserving discipline and professionalism within our ranks,” she said, underscoring the role of officers as peacekeepers.
Upgrading Communication and Ensuring Readiness
To support this initiative, Fajardo instructed police stations to upgrade and strengthen their radio communication systems. Regular equipment inspections will be conducted to guarantee operational readiness at all times. Improved communication is vital for quick response and coordination in maintaining peace.
Moreover, the PNP’s eight-hour duty policy remains a priority. This policy follows a three-shift system—6 a.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.—to safeguard the health, efficiency, and alertness of all personnel. Fajardo emphasized strict adherence to this schedule to prevent fatigue and maintain high performance.
Discipline and Integrity at the Forefront
As the leader of the regional office, Fajardo highlighted the responsibility of police leaders to set the standard for integrity and service. She vowed to impose discipline on officers who violate core values, ensuring that professionalism remains uncompromised.
“As leaders, it is our duty to set the standard of integrity and service. And as guardians of peace, we will not hesitate to impose discipline on those who violate our core values,” she added.
Local officials and police personnel echoed support for these measures, recognizing that increased police visibility and improved systems will significantly contribute to safer communities.
