The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) is calling on more volunteers to join the fight for fair and honest elections in 2025. With the countdown to May 12, the group needs extra hands to monitor both local and national polls.
So far, about 350,000 volunteers have stepped up to support the Church’s watchdog role. But it’s not enough. “Kailangan pa rin namin ng dagdag na volunteers,” the PPCRV said. They urge anyone interested to sign up at the nearest Catholic parish. Don’t worry if you’re not Catholic—people from all faiths are welcome, as long as you stay non-partisan.
As the official citizens’ arm of the Commission on Elections (Comelec), PPCRV plays a vital role in ensuring a clean election. They also advise voters to prepare early by listing their chosen candidates ahead of Election Day. This simple step can speed up the voting process and reduce confusion on May 12.
“Hindi na kayo mag-iisip pa sa araw ng botohan kung sino ang iboboto ninyo,” they remind voters. Above all, they encourage everyone to vote wisely, correctly, and with a prayerful heart.
With election season approaching, the call is clear: volunteer now or get ready to make an informed, thoughtful choice on Election Day. Stay tuned for more updates and information on Eleksyon 2025.
