PPCRV yet to access transmitted votes despite Comelec updates

PPCRV yet to access transmitted votes

The Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) reported early Monday evening that it has not yet accessed the transmitted votes from the Commission on Elections (Comelec), even though the Comelec website shows that a portion of election returns has already been sent.

According to PPCRV spokesperson Ana Singson, this situation is unusual since such a delay has not happened since 2010. “If you look at the Comelec website, 34.38% has already been transmitted. The sad news is that we have not have access to the data,” she told reporters around 8:15 p.m.

She added that this development concerns them, and they have been in constant communication with Comelec but have yet to receive a response. Furthermore, PPCRV received a file containing only a header title, lacking any actual vote data.

Concerns rise over vote transmission data

The delay in accessing the transmitted votes raises questions about transparency and timely election reporting. PPCRV continues to monitor the situation closely while urging Comelec to provide the necessary data promptly.
