In addition, President Marcos issued Memorandum Circular No. 87 on July 11, directing all government agencies and encouraging local government units and the private sector to promote awareness of the Philippines as a maritime and archipelagic nation.
The circular mandates national agencies, including government-owned corporations, to support programs and campaigns that highlight the country’s maritime heritage. It also calls for full cooperation in the observance of MANA Mo (Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month) every September.
- Actively support and promote relevant awareness initiatives.
