Authorities Seize P788,000 Worth of Shabu in Rizal Operation
Authorities recently confiscated shabu valued at P788,000 from four suspects, including a man identified as a key figure who sources illegal drugs from Quezon City. According to reports, this individual supplies shabu to various barangays in Rodriguez, Rizal, highlighting an ongoing drug distribution network in the area.
Details of the Arrest and Confiscated Items
The Rizal Police Provincial Office has named the main suspect as “Enan,” 44, who is considered a high-value individual (HVI) for allegedly sourcing shabu from Payatas, Quezon City. The other three arrested individuals are identified as “Negro,” 29; “Rose,” 28; and “Junior,” 22.
The arrests took place during a coordinated anti-illegal drug operation by the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay San Rafael on the morning of May 20. Authorities recovered five heat-sealed plastic sachets and a knot-tied plastic cellophane containing suspected shabu. The estimated total weight of the confiscated drugs is 116 grams.
Along with the drugs, the police also seized buy-bust money, boodle money, transaction money, and a black sling bag. These items suggest active drug transactions involving the suspects.
Ongoing Efforts to Apprehend Additional Suspects
Meanwhile, law enforcement officers are conducting a manhunt for another individual named “James,” who is also considered a high-value target involved in the illegal drug trade within the locality.
Following their arrest, the suspects were immediately taken to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for drug testing. Authorities remain committed to intensifying their crackdown on illegal drugs in the region.
