Quezon City Sets Road Closures for Pride Run 2025
The Quezon City government has revealed important road closures and traffic rerouting plans for the upcoming Pride Run 2025, slated for Saturday, June 7. The city will implement these changes from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely.
Key intersections, including Timog Avenue corner Tomas Morato Avenue and Tomas Morato Avenue corner Scout Madriñan, will be closed to all traffic. Additionally, a stop-and-go traffic scheme will be enforced along Tomas Morato, Scout Tobias Street, and Timog Avenue to help manage the flow of vehicles during the event.
Traffic Rerouting Details for Motorists
Drivers coming from Tomas Morato heading toward Don Alejandro Roces and Kamuning Road will be redirected. They must pass through Scout Borromeo, turn left onto Scout Tuason Street, then left again onto Don Alejandro Roces, and finally right back to Tomas Morato Avenue.
Meanwhile, vehicles traveling from Kamuning Road to Don Alejandro Roces and Timog Avenue should turn right onto Tomas Morato, then left onto Marathon Street, left again onto Scout Tuason Street, followed by right turns onto Scout Ojeda Street and Scout Tobias Street.
Expect Heavy Traffic and Plan Ahead
Local leaders noted that motorists should anticipate significant traffic congestion in the affected areas during the event hours. To ease travel, drivers are advised to consider alternative routes and exercise patience while traveling near the event zone.
These measures are part of the city’s efforts to support the Pride Run 2025 while maintaining public safety and traffic order.
