Quezon City Free Rides Support Commuters During Sona
Quezon City local officials continue to provide free rides as classes remain suspended for the State of the Nation Address (Sona) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday, July 28, 2025. The free service aims to ease transportation for residents navigating the city on this significant day.
The city government announced that the Q City Bus service operates across eight routes, offering frequent trips to help commuters travel smoothly during the Sona events.

QC Hall to Cubao
- 6 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: buses every 10 minutes
- 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.: buses every 30 minutes
- 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.: buses every 10 minutes
- 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: buses every 30 minutes
QC Hall to Litex / IBP Road
- 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.: buses every 6 minutes
- 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.: buses every 30 minutes

Class Suspension and Sona Details
To accommodate the Sona activities, the Quezon City government previously announced the suspension of classes at all academic levels, both in public and private schools. This move helps reduce traffic congestion and allows students and parents to plan accordingly.
President Marcos Jr. will deliver his fourth State of the Nation Address at 4 p.m. at the Batasang Pambansa Complex located in Quezon City. Local leaders noted that the free Q City Bus service is part of efforts to support residents on this important day.
