Peaceful Start Marks School Year 2025–2026
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reported a safe and orderly opening of classes for School Year 2025–2026 on Monday, June 16. The smooth start was credited to early preparations, sufficient deployment of personnel, and strong coordination with school officials and local communities.
QCPD Deputy District Director for Administration and Officer-in-Charge Police Col. Randy Glenn Silvio highlighted the importance of these efforts in ensuring student safety.
Robust Police Presence Under Ligtas Balik-Eskwela Program
To maintain order, 628 police officers were assigned to 234 schools across the city through the “Ligtas Balik-Eskwela” program. Their roles included securing school grounds, managing traffic flow, and assisting students and parents.
Additionally, 75 Police Assistance Desks (PADs) were established in collaboration with schools and volunteer groups. These desks operate within school campuses to provide security and help the public with concerns related to safety and traffic.
Col. Silvio reassured the public that the police will keep their presence active throughout the academic year.
Reflecting Commitment to Public Safety
The peaceful opening reflects the QCPD’s dedication to the Philippine National Police’s reform programs and public service initiatives. Local officials noted that this achievement sets a positive tone for the rest of the school year.
