Major Rizal Drug Traders Yield P2.3 Million Shabu Bust
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-illegal drug operatives seized over P2.3 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Rizal province. The arrest of three major drug traffickers happened on Sunday night in Tanay town, local reports confirmed.
Authorities from the Region 4A Police Regional Office revealed that the suspects, known by their aliases “Bachicha,” “Gimo,” and “Dagul,” were caught at 8:55 p.m. after selling shabu valued at P7,000 to a poseur buyer in Barangay Tandang Kutyo. The three traffickers yielded a significant amount of illegal drugs during the operation.
Seizure Details and Arrest
The operatives confiscated six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing around 350 grams. This haul is estimated to be worth P2,380,000. Authorities also seized a motorcycle believed to be used in the suspects’ drug activities and a mobile phone for further investigation into their transactions.
Following their arrest, the three suspects were detained and are set to face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, sources said. The law enforcement units continue to intensify efforts against illegal drug trade in the region.
