Rizal Police Arrest Suspect in Drug Transaction in Antipolo City
The Rizal Police Provincial Office continues to intensify its anti-illegal drug campaign after apprehending a suspect caught in the midst of a drug transaction in Antipolo City. Authorities arrested a 48-year-old man known as “Putol” during a monitoring operation in Barangay San Jose on June 13.
The arrest was carried out by the City Drug Enforcement Team (CDET) of the Antipolo Component City Police Station, which witnessed Putol negotiating with another individual named “Janha.” Upon noticing the police presence, Janha immediately fled the scene.
Seizure of Suspected Shabu and Evidence
Police confiscated seven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 46 grams. The estimated value of the seized drugs is around P312,800. In addition, authorities recovered a coin purse and marked money used during the transaction.
Currently, Putol is under the custody of the Antipolo CCPS and faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Meanwhile, a follow-up operation is underway to locate and apprehend Janha.
