ZAMBOANGA CITY – A road rage incident turned violent early Thursday morning when a 60-year-old engineer narrowly escaped a gun attack at the intersection of Gov. Camins Avenue and Nuñez Extension. Rather than engage, Palacio sped away to avoid a fight. The driver of the SUV then fired shots that struck the right side of Palacio’s vehicle. Despite the damage, Palacio managed to drive to the nearby Divisoria police station, where he reported the incident.

Authorities promptly responded to the shooting scene and recovered four empty 9mm shell casings. Local investigators are treating the case as a possible road rage incident and are currently reviewing available surveillance footage to identify and apprehend the SUV driver.
