Sandiganbayan Acquits Binays in Makati Carpark Case
Former Vice President Jejomar Binay and his son, former Makati Mayor Junjun Binay, were acquitted by the Sandiganbayan in connection with graft and corruption allegations linked to the P2.2-billion Makati car park building project. Officials reported that the anti-graft court found insufficient evidence to convict them, stating that the prosecution failed to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
